How can you find extra work for the weekend?
WorkDeal · updated 03/11/2026
In short
Choose weekend work around a definite free time window, a manageable task and a suitable area. Before applying, check whether the listing is for one-off help or regular shifts, and allow time for travel and recovery too.
A one-off job or regular shifts?
Weekend work might mean one task on Saturday morning, but it can also mean a commitment to attend every week. These are different arrangements. If you can only help on one date, say so straight away; do not assume that a brief listing automatically means a one-off job.
A weekend gig is worth looking for when you want to fit a clearly defined task into your free time. Look beyond the activity to the expected result and deadline. For a comparison of search channels, see where to find short jobs in Estonia; no channel guarantees a suitable opportunity for the time you have available.
Your weekend planning checklist
✓ Time window: note when you can arrive and when you absolutely must leave. Take earlier commitments into account and do not offer a whole day if only your morning is free.
✓ Travel: check outward and return transport using the weekend timetable. Allow for connections and possible delays; finishing work is not the same as arriving home.
✓ Duration: ask for an estimate of the working time and whether the task must be finished that day. An unclear scope can make an apparently short job incompatible with your schedule.
✓ Recovery: leave time for meals, breaks and rest before your next day at work or school. Do not plan a physically demanding task simply because there is an empty space in your calendar.
Location, equipment and a safe task
On WorkDeal’s all jobs page, you can filter by category, county and city or municipality; remote jobs are always visible. Open a suitable listing and check its dates, application deadline and requirements. Only the city or municipality is public. The exact address is revealed to the chosen worker after selection.
Before selection, ask in the chat about general access, such as whether public transport is practical or whether there are stairs. Do not ask someone to rewrite an address to bypass the filter: addresses, phone numbers and email addresses are filtered in chat before selection. Once you have the exact location, confirm your travel plan.
Ask who provides tools, materials and necessary protective equipment, and whether instructions will be given. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Without experience, do not take on electrical, gas, dangerous work at height or tree-felling tasks; heavy or hazardous tasks require qualified help. Start with the guide to jobs without experience.
How do you write a useful application message?
Sign in to WorkDeal to apply. Relate your message to the task described: mention relevant experience, your exact available time window and questions that affect whether you can agree. Do not promise completion before you understand the scope. For “Make an offer” jobs, enter a positive price in the “Your offer” field before applying; the pricing guide can help.
Example: Hello! I can help pack belongings on Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm. I have packed for my own move before, but would need instructions for fragile items. Are packing materials provided, and roughly how many items are there? Does everything need to be finished within that time? Please also clarify access by public transport. This is a fictional sample message, not an actual application.
What should you ask before agreeing?
Confirm the start time, expected finish, limits of the task and who will give instructions on site. Clarify what to do if the task takes longer than expected or the stated scope changes. Confirm which equipment you need to organise and which the employer will provide, and whether another person’s help is needed.
Agree in the chat how pay is calculated and the payment details. WorkDeal does not handle workers’ pay: the employer pays the worker directly. Applying and doing jobs is free for workers, but this does not mean guaranteed selection or instant earnings. If the terms do not fit your time or skills, be honest about that before agreeing.
