Privacy Policy

WorkDeal (Life By You OÜ, reg. no 14362652, VAT EE102067970) protects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and what your rights are.

When you register, we collect your email address and name. When you post a job, we store the job description, location, dates and pricing. Your profile holds your language skills, description and profile photo.

When processing payments, we collect service fee and payment status data. When acting as a company, we collect the company name and registry code.

The data collected is used to provide the service, for communication between users, for processing payments and for sending notifications.

Until a worker is selected, other users see the address only at city/municipality level. The exact address is disclosed to the selected worker.

Email addresses, phone numbers and addresses are filtered out of chats to prevent contact details from being shared publicly before a worker is selected. Before selection, other users see only the first name (company name when acting as a company), profile photo and rating. The full profile and contact details are revealed only between the employer and the selected worker. Contact details are hidden again after both parties have given a rating or when the contact visibility period ends.

Data is kept for as long as the user’s account is active. Users can permanently delete their account themselves under Settings (confirmed with an email code). When an account is deleted, personal data is removed; under the Accounting Act, invoices and payment data are kept in anonymised form for 7 years.

We retain a pseudonymous abuse-prevention identifier for up to 12 months after deletion of an administrator-blocked account to prevent platform abuse, ban evasion and fraud. The identifier cannot reconstruct a profile and is used only for security. Processing is based on legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Identifiers for time-limited restrictions are retained until the restriction expires. Access is limited to processing necessary for security; expired identifiers are removed automatically.

To keep the Platform secure and limit abuse (such as excessive requests), we briefly process the request IP address in pseudonymised form. This data is not linked to your profile and is deleted automatically. Processing is based on legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). To investigate technical failures we store failure records without personal data (time, page type, failure type and a technical request ID), kept for 14 days.

With your consent, we collect page load and responsiveness metrics (Web Vitals) to improve Platform performance. They are stored only as aggregated hourly statistics, without identifying any person, account or visited page.

The Platform uses Google and Apple services for sign-in and the sender domain notify.workdeal.eu for sending email. Payments are processed through trusted payment providers. During registration we use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent bots and abuse; it processes device and browser data.
