What should you include in a good job listing?

In short
A good job listing explains what needs doing, how much work is involved and what result you expect. Include the general location, time window, required skills and pricing option so a helper can make an informed offer.
Start with a specific title and result
Writing a job listing starts with naming the task: “Help carrying moving boxes in Pärnu” says more than “Helper needed”. Explain what the person will actually do and when you will consider the job complete. Separate the main task from extras so offers are not based on different assumptions.
Quantify the scope: the number of boxes or items, rooms to clean or approximate area. If the scope is uncertain, give an estimate and explain the uncertainty. Mention access, the floor, whether there is a lift and other conditions affecting time or the number of people needed. Seek suitably skilled help for heavy or hazardous work.
Add timing, tools and privacy-conscious photographs
The city or municipality is enough in the public description. Add a suitable date or time window and say whether the start time is flexible. The application deadline and the work date are different: allow time to review offers and agree arrangements with the worker.
State which skills are needed, which tools and materials are available and what the worker should bring. Add photographs of the task and access, checking that no personal documents or contact details are visible. Do not put an exact address, telephone number or email address in the public description. The exact address is revealed to the chosen worker after selection.
Choose pricing and explain what it covers
A fixed price suits a clearly defined task; for an hourly rate, describe the expected scope and agree how time will be recorded. With “Make an offer”, the applicant proposes the price and must enter a positive offer amount before applying. Say whether the offer should include materials, transport or other agreed additional tasks.
WorkDeal does not handle the worker’s pay: you pay the worker directly and agree payment details in the chat. The publication fee is not the worker’s pay. To choose a suitable person, read the guide to finding a reliable helper; the moving help guide helps clarify carrying requirements.
Comparison and a template to fill in
Example: A vague listing would be “Need help moving. Make an offer”. It gives no indication of the number of items, access or timing, so the helper has to ask basic questions before making an offer.
Example: A clearer listing would be “Help carrying 20 moving boxes in Pärnu”. On Saturday morning, 20 sealed boxes need carrying from the second floor to a van outside the building. There is no lift. A driver and transport are arranged; driving and carrying furniture are not included. Box weights vary, and we will lift heavier ones together. Please offer a price for all the carrying work and say whether you are available at the requested time.
Template: Title: [action and object]. Expected result: [what must be finished]. Scope: [quantity or measurement and uncertainty]. Location: [city or municipality]. Timing: [date, time window, flexibility]. Access: [floor, lift, obstacles]. Skills and safety: [requirements]. Tools: [provided by me / by the worker]. Pricing: [fixed / hourly / Make an offer]. Price includes: [tasks and costs]. Excludes: [excluded tasks]. Photos: [what they show].
How to post a job and check it before publication
The WorkDeal publication process is: Complete the listing → Review the conditions → Confirm publication → Receive offers → Choose a suitable person → The job gets done. In the form, complete the title, category, location or remote option, dates, application deadline, description, requirements and photos, and choose pricing.
✓ Review the content and the publication terms and fee shown in the form. You can save a draft free. If payment is required under the conditions shown in the form, the listing is published once the payment is confirmed; if a fee waiver applies, follow the confirmation step shown in the form.
✓ Check pricing and category particularly carefully: you can edit the entire listing before the first application, but these two fields cannot be changed after someone applies.
✓ Remove contact details and the exact address from public text. Before selection, the chat filters out email addresses, telephone numbers and addresses; after selection, the filter switches off.
